About the Artist

A native of Barrie, Ontario, Sheila Bristow paints in various media from her studio and "en plein aire". Whether working in oil, acrylic, watercolour or pastel her style combines realism and impressionism which helps bring to life her large floral artworks and accentuate her landscapes and still life work.

She also joined the Hidalgo Watercolor Society in Pharr, Texas, and learned many watercolor techniques, most notably from the Karen McCauley Studio in San Antonio and Billylyn Clark from Weslaco, Texas. She is also a past member of the BaySide Artists Group in Barrie, Ontario.
